Cranford

Cranford

Through the years, the business district and neighborhoods of Cranford have sprung up around the train station and the Rahway River. Today, the downtown is flourishing, thanks to a wide variety of new restaurants and shops, as well as town- wide festivals and family entertainment. The train station (providing service to Newark Penn Station with connections to New York City) remains a valued amenity to more than 22,000 residents. The township is also proud of its recreational facilities that include two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and fitness complex, bike path, canoe club, tennis courts, sports fields, and parks. Residents of this modern community with historic charm are actively involved in its first-rate schools, sports, and civic and community organizations.
